Bio:

Olivier Laude is a freelance photographer, currently based in Ho Chi Minh City, Viet Nam, and Bangkok, Thailand. He has worked and contributed to some of the world’s most prestigious corporations and publications including: Adobe, Apple, Samsung, Sprint, Organic, Sybase, Oracle, Time Warner, Pratt and Whitney, Hewlett-Packard, NEC, National Geographic Adventure, Fortune, Forbes, Time Magazine, US News and World Report, Newsweek, Bloomberg Businessweek, The New York Times Magazine, Big Magazine, Eyemazing Magazine and Blink Magazine among others.

Olivier Laude has won every major photography award including American Photo Annual, PDN Photo Annual, Communication Arts, Graphis, and was twice an APERTURE West honoree recipient, as well as an SPD silver medalist and a two time Webby Award winner.

Olivier Laude has also written and been interviewed extensively about photography and new media and has lectured around the world about photography: Skidmore College, Washington University, Xiamen Daxue (PR China), APA San Francisco, ASMP San Francisco, Parsons NYC, California College of the Arts (San Francisco), Pixar, CAL arts, Slide Luck Pot Show and the Asian Art Museum(San Francisco), and featured on television in KQED’s “SPARK”, a PBS Artist showcase… His personal work has been exhibited at Southern Exposure Gallery (San Francisco), The Milk Gallery(NYC), and in The Asian Art Museum in San Francisco amongst others… as well as in numerous private collections worldwide.

In a previous life, Olivier was founder and creative director of Atlas, an acclaimed on-line magazine featuring photography, design, multimedia and illustration. Atlas was the first ever online media to be added to the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s permanent collection as well as the winner of two People’s Voice Webby Awards. Olivier’s experience as a creative director includes work with Lucas films (Star Wars website), Oracle, and Nike.

Technical Note: All work on this site was shot on location in California, Thailand and Vietnam, using Kodak 160 Portra negative film, on a Toyo 8×10 studio camera.
